Bring the kids to the Callaway parking lot and explore trucks from the City of Decatur and DeKalb County fleets. The event is free, but make sure to bring a non-perishable food item as a donation for Feed The Hungry.

Leapin’ Lizards Parent’s Night Out – Saturday, 6:30-10 p.m.
Hosted by the staff of Leapin’ Lizards to provide parents an opportunity to take the evening off while their children have their own fun in a safe and healthy environment. Snacks and a group activity are include. Register here.

Worthmore has just announced they are accepting submissions for  “The Story Teller”, their 2nd annual juried exhibition in partnership with Atlanta Celebrates Photography. Worthmore Jewelers is excited to announce “The Trail to Happiness”, their first juried exhibition in partnership with Atlanta Celebrates Photography. The exhibition will kick off with an Opening Reception on Saturday, October 3rd from 5 until 8 pm in the Decatur Store. You will have an opportunity to meet the artists and enjoy hors d’oeuvres as well as their signature rum punch. If you can’t get by for the opening, the show runs through November 6.

After stopping by Worthmore, head over to Sycamore Place Gallery, across from the Ice House Lofts. You may have heard about the infamous piano smashing at “Sylvia’s Atomic Cafe”. Dogtoberfest

On Sunday, October 4th,  from 2 until 6 pm, it is time for Dogtoberfest at the Solarium in Oakhurst. The event is sponsored by local businesses to benefit improvements to the Oakhurst Dog Park. Admission is free, but donations will be accepted for food, beverages and Dogtoberfest activities.
