-For New Years Eve, the White Bull will be only offering a five course pre-fix menu, curated by Chefs Pat Pascarella and Gregory Gettles. An additional wine pairing selection will be offered also. Reservations are required so call or visit opentable.com to book for Tuesday, Dec. 31.

-Dress up in your finest 1920s garb and join the DeKalb History Center for a roaring New Year’s Eve bash on Tuesday, Dec. 31 from 9 p.m.-1 a.m. Admission includes catered heavy hors d’oeuvres, one drink ticket, a champagne toast, and a DJ spinning your favorite tunes as we countdown to midnight. Christmas Tree Recycling for Post

Decatur residents may drop off live Christmas trees at the annual “Bring One for the Chipper” event at Decatur Legacy Park from Friday, Dec. 27-Saturday, Jan. 11. Look for signs showing where trees should be placed, to the right of the chapel. Please do not leave Christmas trees anywhere else on the property.

City Meetings
-The December 23 meeting for the Lifelong Community Advisory Board is cancelled. The next meeting is scheduled for Monday, Jan. 27 at 6:30 p.m.

Events
-Gathered and Grounded is hosting a Kids’ Holiday Afternoon on Monday, Dec. 23 from 1-4:30 p.m. They’ll enjoy an afternoon out while you finish up the touchings of the holiday season.

-Come out to the Solarium for Breakfast with Santa in Oakhurst this Saturday, Dec. 21 from 9:30-11:30 a.m. This event is free to the community, just RSVP to contact@thesolarium.com.

-Join Little Shop of Stories for hot chocolate and a reading of The Polar Express on Saturday, Dec. 21 at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. There may even be a special visitor! Fee is $5 fee per child. Space is limited so please call to reserve a spot.

-Agnes Scott College is inviting all residents to a Campus Master Plan Open House this Thursday, Dec. 19 from 6:30-8 p.m. in the Elizabeth Kiss Welcome Center located in Rebekah Scott Hall.

-Come out for Bubbles and Booze at the Pinewood and enjoy a bottomless selection of sparkling cocktails, champagne and wine with hors d’oeuvres on Thursday, Dec. 19 from 7-10 p.m.

-The Decatur Arts Alliance is hosting the Core Dance photography show and opening reception this Monday, Dec. 9 from 6-8 p.m. at the Decatur Arts Alliance Gallery (113 Clairemont Ave). The retrospective exhibition documents the contemporary dance organization from 2014 to the present and will be available for viewing Dec. 10-13 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
-Join the Decatur Environmental Sustainability Board for a discussion about the problems associated with single-use plastics and hear how some communities are choosing to respond to this environmental challenge Monday, Dec. 9 at 7:30 p.m. at the Decatur Recreation Center. This event is free and open to the community.
