Rampart Construction will remove the crane from The Arlo site on E. Trinity Place (across from Fire Station 1) Oct. 27-29. Traffic will be reduced to one lane, so try to avoid the area if possible. Pedestrian access to the PATH trail will not be affected.

The MyDecaturGA mobile app and the online citizen request system powered by SeeClickFix will be undergoing routine system maintenance on Tuesday, October 27 from 9 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. ET. The SeeClickFix website and mobile applications will not be available during the outage.

Decorate Decatur Halloween is going digital this year! We’ve created an online map that will include pinpoints of homes decorated for Halloween in the City of Decatur. You can access the map at www.decaturga.com/decoratedecaturhalloween. If you would like to submit an address, email events@decaturga.com. Include the street address, description of the decor, and a photo of the decorated home.

Please be advised that SeeClickFix will be performing system maintenance this week to apply patches to recently discovered security vulnerabilities. This means that the MyDecaturGA mobile app and the web-based SeeClickFix request management system will likely experience an interruption in service during the following times:

Tuesday, 10/20 from 3:00 to 3:30 a.m. and 9:00 to 10:30 p.m.
Wednesday, 10/21 from 3:00 to 3:30 a.m. and 11:00 to 11:30 p.m.
Thursday, 10/22 from 1:00 to 1:30 a.m. and 3:00 to 3:30 a.m.

If you find yourself needing to report an issue during those times, leave a voicemail message at 404-377-5571 and staff will assist you during regular business hours.

The Phoenix School in Oakhurst will hold its annual Fall Recycling Event this Saturday October 17th from 8 am until 2 pm. You’ll have the opportunity to SAFELY recycle your old paint.

New this year is the yard sale. Come shop for gently used kid’s items, home goods, men’s and women’s clothing, books, furniture, etc. at great prices.

The Decatur Halloween Parade returns this year on Sunday, Oct. 25.

The parade starts a 4 p.m. at the post office and goes up West Ponce de Leon around to Church Street, along Trinity in front of Chick Fil-A and then up to the square for the Haints & Saints musical jam.
