The Decatur City Commission will hold a work session on Thursday, June 2, 2016 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. to discuss challenges and opportunities in the FY16-17 proposed budget and FY15-16 revised budget.

The work session will be held in the City Commission Meeting Room at Decatur City Hall, 509 N. McDonough Street and is open to the public. The work session will also be available for viewing online at https://www.decaturga.com/city-government/city-commission/streaming-video.

The results of a project researching diversity in the City of Decatur were presented at a City Commission work session in August. The entire work session is archived and can be viewed here.

Want to learn more about the proposed Unified Development Ordinance (UDO)? The City Commission has two work sessions, one tonight and one Wednesday, to go over everything it includes. The community is welcome to attend one or both work sessions and listen in, but please note that there will not be an opportunity for public comment at either of these meetings.

The work sessions are Monday, Sept. 22 and Wed., Sept. 24 from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. in the City Commission Meeting Room, City Hall, 509 N McDonough St.

It’s cold out today in Decatur and set to get colder by evening, but tonight’s work session about the draft tree ordinance at 6 p.m. and the regular City Commission meeting at 7:30 p.m. will still take place as scheduled at Decatur City Hall, 509 N. McDonough St.
