The October test of the Tornado Outdoor Warning Siren System will happen tomorrow (10/06/21) at 5:00 p.m. The test should last approximately one minute. Should the weather become inclement, the test will be postponed until Thursday, 7 October 2021.

UPDATE: 5:15 p.m. – We are aware that the Winnona Park siren is stuck in the “on” position. Staff is working now to shut it off.

The August test of the Tornado Outdoor Warning Siren System that had been rescheduled for this afternoon (8/11/21) has been canceled.

Testing will resume in September on Wednesday the 1st at 5:00 p.m.

A couple of the sirens that make up the City’s tornado outdoor warning siren system are in need of repairs so the monthly test has been postponed until next Wednesday, August 11th at 5:00 p.m. Stay tuned for updates.

Since we had to deploy the tornado outdoor warning siren system on Monday, May 3rd for an actual tornado event, we won’t be performing the typical “first Wednesday of the month” system test today.
