Enjoy the beautiful weather forecasted for later this week by visiting Decatur Greenspaces. Thanks to a grant from the BBQ & Blues Festival, the Oakhurst Community Garden is sponsoring the “Greening of the Greenspaces”, an Earth Day art exhibit to celebrate the diverse parks and gardens in the city. Dancers have created site-specific performances and visionary artists have designed sculptures with natural materials that will biodegrade with time. The sculptures will be available for viewing at the sites below from April 18 through May 31.

Decatur High School Community Garden, at the corner of W. Howard Avenue at Commerce Drive

Glen Creek Nature Preserve, at the end of Fairview Road

Hidden Cove Park, behind City Schools administration office, 758 Scott Boulevard

Oakhurst Community Garden, 453 Oakview Road

Green Street Woods, across N. McDonough Street from Oakhurst Community Garden

Woodlands Garden, 920 Scott Boulevard
