The annual Bonfire & Marshmallow Roast will be held this Thursday, December 17 from 7 until 8 pm on the Old Courthouse Square in downtown Decatur. Santa will there to join in the fun. The event is free thanks to the Decatur Business Association and sponsoring businesses.

Decatur’s fire fighters will be there to light and tend the fire. The fire will be extinguished at 8 pm using reclaimed water from the Holiday Inn. This is usually a highlight for the children as it produces lots of steam.

This Thursday will also be your last chance to participate in Decatur’s Terrific Thursdays. Shops offer treats and special discounts. Why not make it a night out in Decatur? Have dinner, eat roasted marshmallows for dessert and shop for those one of a kind gifts. Oh yeah- visit with Santa too. Something for everyone in the family!
