The 7th Annual Decatur Wine Festival will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2008 from 1 until 4 p.m. on the Old Courthouse Square in downtown Decatur. There will be over 350 wines for tasting and lots of food samples from local Decatur restaurants. Musical performances will be by Ernie Quarles and Shaun Anderson beginning at 1pm and the Heaven Davis Band at 2:30pm.
Tickets are $30 and are available online at www.ticketealternative.com or drop by Decatur CD, which is a Ticket Alternative outlet. Decatur Package Store on Clairemont Avenue also has a limited number of tickets, so stop by and say hello to Herb, who is a major part of planning this great event.
The price includes a commemorative wine glass. No tickets will be sold at the gate and admission is limited to 2000 people. The event is rain or shine, but we all know that the weather will be wonderful: a cool breeze and sunny! No one under 21 will be admitted ( yes this means babies as well) and pets need to stay at home. The Wine Festival is a fundraiser for the Decatur Arts Alliance which offers the annual Decatur Arts Festival and the Oakhurst Arts and Music Festival free to the community. Get your tickets now before it is too late! I look forward to seeing you there.
