Don’t get too excited, it is not a new bookstore in Decatur, Leeland Books is part of the set of the filming of Halloween 2. The inside shots will be at the Wordsmith’s Books location and exterior shots will be in front of Leeland Books. I am quite impressed with the amount of detail put into the store front.
For those of us who thought Hollywood was glamorous, I have been persuaded otherwise after seeing the amount of work the crew has put into the filming of this scene. They have been working all hours of the day and night to get ready. It reminds me of getting prepared for a special event.
The crew will be moving to the Decatur Cemetery for some night shots this evening. They have made a donation to the Friends of the Cemetery to help to restore the old section of the cemetery. This filming does benefit our city in many ways!
