Calling all graphic designers! You still have time to get your poster design entered for the Decatur Green Fest.  The deadline for the Poster Contest is February 6th – that’s this Friday.  The winner recieves $200 and the opportunity to have their artwork seen throughout the city on the festival’s official poster.

The Decatur Green Fest, scheduled for Saturday, May 2, beneifts the Decatur Preservation Alliance and the Dogwood Alliance. The event is being organzied by a great group of volunteers including  Mike Gallagher of the Brick Store Pub, Eddie Owen of Eddie’s Attic, John The Baker of the Dogwood Alliance, and many more. Plans for the 2009 festival include children’s activities, organic food, “green” vendors, artists and ongoing live music throughout the afternoon ending with the evening Concert on the Square.
