Are you sad that you weren’t one of the 1,500 randomly selected households to receive a copy of 2018 edition of the National Citizen Survey? We have good news that will turn your frown upside down. The City just received word that it has access to an opt-in version of the survey this year allowing anyone who is interested in taking the 2018 survey to be able to do so just by clicking on the link below between now and Friday, March 23:

(This link is different than the one included on the mailed copy of the survey so if you did receive a mailed copy, please submit that version to NRC.)

The data from the survey is used by the City in its budgeting, strategic and annual planning processes. If you have any questions regarding the survey, contact City Clerk Meredith Roark at meredith.roark@decaturga.com or call 404-370-4102.

Every other year for the past 10 years, the City of Decatur has surveyed its residents through the National Research Center (NRC.) Today the NRC sent out a postcard notification announcing the 2016 survey to a random sample of Decatur residents. If you don’t receive a postcard in the coming days, you are not one of the households randomly chosen this time.

The actual survey will be sent out twice on February 5 and February 12 to the random sample. The survey is completely anonymous and we only get the final tabulations from NRC. If you are one of the lucky ones to receive the survey, please make sure to fill it out and send it back via mail or online. We’ve had a 40% response rate for the past five surveys, which is fantastic but we want more!

If you’d like a better idea of what the final tabulations look like, click here to view and download the 2006, 2008, 2010, 2012 and 2014 survey results. The data from the survey is used by the City in its budgeting, strategic and annual planning processes.

If you have any questions regarding the survey, contact Budget & Performance Measurement Manager Meredith Roark at meredith.roark@decaturga.com or call 404-370-4102.
