Former Mayor Bill Floyd is chairing the host committee for this event, saying “Decatur’s Kitchen Garden was special for me during my last few years as Mayor.”  The Global Growers Network broke ground on the garden in March, 2012, at Decatur’s United Methodist Children’s Home.  Since then, they have made great strides, but they have big plans for the future, and your participation in this event can help.

2013 JB on Tour Store Announcement

The Jelly Belly touring bus is making a special appearance at Greene’s Fine Foods with a host of fun activities.

After traveling more than 8,000 miles last year the touring jelly bean experts are at it again. They will share insider secrets to the making of Jelly Belly® jelly beans, the iconic bean that spread sweetness around the world during the presidency of Ronald Reagan.

At the stop on April 6 from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm Jelly Belly will offer tastings of the newest flavors, including Jelly Belly TABASCO® Jelly Bean, Snapple™, Jelly Belly Jelly Bean Cherry Chocolate Dips® and the Mystery Bean Flavor where guests can explore and guess the latest flavor. The “What’s New” wheel will give everyone a chance to try the latest flavors and candies from Jelly Belly, with prizes and fun for all to take place during the stop.  If there was ever a question you wanted answered about Jelly Belly beans, this is the opportunity to stump the bean diplomats.

Greene’s will also be giving away free drip sticks with each ice cream cone purchased for kids 6 and under while supplies last.

For more information, visit Greene’s Facebook page.
