Touch a Budget

The FY12-13 revised and FY13-14 proposed budgets are now available for review. You can check out a hard copy at the Decatur Library, 215 Sycamore Street or at the City Clerk’s Office in City Hall, 509 N. McDonough Street. The budget is also available online at www.decaturga.com/budget.

This year there are several ways you can share your input about the budget, including speaking at the public hearings on June 3rd and June 17th during the City Commission meeting, participating in the Open City Hall online forum (topic to be introduced next week) or by stopping by the inaugural Budget Expo from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29th at the Decatur Recreation Center. The “Touch a Budget” event will feature items included in the proposed budget, so come on out and chat with staff, see some cool things and maybe win a prize or two. For more information on the budget or any of the ways you can get involved in the input process, contact Budget & Performance Measurement Manager, Meredith Roark at Meredith.Roark@decaturga.com or 404-370-4102.
