A meal to live for…
Steinbecks and Leon’s Full Service are taking the lead along with some of Decatur finest chefs to provide the menu for a sumptuous outdoor dinner party hosted at the Decatur Cemetery on Saturday, September 7th.
.
Enjoy family-style dining on the lawn by the pond with live music, adult beverages, and locally sourced, fresh dishes that highlight the extraordinary talents of our local chefs. And all for a worthy cause -Decatur’s Kitchen Garden – providing refugee families with a place to grow healthy food and create economic opportunities for themselves and their communities.
The Global Growers Network of Refugee Family Services broke ground on the garden in March, 2012, and has made amazing strides in their first year. They have created a place where over 30 refugee families grow healthy food and create economic opportunities for themselves and their communities. Former Mayor Bill Floyd, chair of the Host Committee, invites you to join this inaugural dinner, and enjoy some delicious food, plentiful drinks, and good company.
