Anytime a business moves into Decatur I immediately go to their website and sign up for their newsletter. I usually get at least five newsletters a day. Here are some of the things that have popped up in my inbox this week/ things I’ve seen around town:
Decatur CD is celebrating Record Store Day this Saturday (that’s tomorrow). The store is opening an hour earlier at 10 a.m., offering more than 300 Record Store Day exclusive releases and 40% off on select non-RSD vinyl. At noon you can munch on BBQ sliders, there will be free beer all day for those of age, King of Pops will be at the shop starting at 2 p.m., and ticket giveaways will be happening all day.
Farmburger is offering up its 100% Georgia pasture-raised and grazed meats through Moonshine Meats CSA. Email darla@moonshinemeats.com for more information.
Badda Bing is still offering a different, delicious lunch each day of the week. Yesterday the Healthy Day Menu included turkey chili, fruit salad with organic cottage cheese, tuna nicoise with bowtie pasta, curry chicken salad, Thai coleslaw with tofu, roasted spring veggies, saffron rice and whole wheat pita bread – all for $7 even.
The Cookie Studio now carries gluten free products from Pure Knead, which includes rolls, baguettes, breadsticks and many other specialty bread items and dessert items. Their products are made of all natural ingredients and are hand made in a dedicated facility certified by the Gluten Intolerance Group. Fresh breads and other items will be available on Fridays and Saturdays, but frozen items can be picked up during the week. Pre-order by emailing info@thecookiestudio.net.
The Seen Gallery is hosting art classes each month. Sign up for Beginning and Intermediate Acrylic Painting or Figure Drawing. You can even purchase class materials at the gallery. Click here to register.

The Decatur Arts Festival just added a lot more information on their website this week. Looks like it’s going to be another great fest!
See you at the Easter Egg Hunt tomorrow!
I love the Pete the Cat stuffed animal!
