Watching the Atlanta Dream
The FitTeens Foundation of Metro Atlanta and the Atlanta’s WNBA Dream aligned for not only a win over the Detroit shock, but also a win for several teens and the fitness programs for their respective schools.
On Friday, June 26th, several teenagers attended their first professional WNBA basketball game at Phillips Arena, thanks to a great partnership with the Atlanta Dream. The Dream pulled out an impressive 96 to 86 win over Detroit and a portion of specific ticket sales went to the FitWit Foundation.
The FitWit Foundation is a 501c (3) that empowers young people to live healthier and successful lives. The Foundation provides free fitness and nutritional programs to metro area high schools, where the largest increase in diabetes and obesity is taking place. Teens from both Maynard Jackson High and Decatur City High attended the game and an autograph session after the game to meet the players up close and personal.
