The Decatur Recreation Center is about to undergo a huge renovation and is packing up to begin the move this coming Monday, May 23rd to Beacon Hill. The “temporary” Rec Center will be located in the old Theatre Decatur space at Beacon Hill, right behind the Decatur Police Station. The new address is 430 W. Trinity Place and the entrance is on the rear of the building.
While we move our technology on Monday morning, the phone lines will be down for about an hour. After that, all registration for camps, sports, etc. will be at the new location. If you try to call and can’t reach us, just leave a message and we will get back to you as soon as we are online again.
After-school, exercise classes and other regular programming will continue at the present location until school is out on Friday, May 27th, then all summer camps and regular Rec Center activities will be at Beacon Hill.
We look forward to serving the community in our temporary location!
