If you have driven by the above home on Wilton Drive, I bet you were curious to see what the inside looked like. Well, here’s your chance! The Bosserman’s home is one of eight homes featured on this year’s Decatur Holiday Candlelight Tour of Homes. Photos of the other great homes can be found on the Tour website.
In addition to the eight homes, the Tour features two Points of Interest; Clairemont Oaks, a senior adult retirement community and the 18th annual Holiday Marketplace and Cafe at Clairemont Elementary School.
The Decatur Active Living Department is offering a free shuttle. Park at the Frist Baptist Church at the corner of Clairemont Avenue and Commerce Drive and catch a ride to the homes. Those with comfortable walking shoes might want to walk the Tour, as hhomes are clustered within walking distance of each other. If you get tired, you can catch the shuttle back to your car!
Tickets can be purchased for $20 in advance at Seventeen Steps, The Seen Gallery, Bicycle South and Ace Intown Hardware. Tickets will also be available at each home for $25. Proceeds benefit the Decatur Preservation Alliance which operates the Woodlands Garden and works to protect and preserve the city’s architectural heritage and the Decatur Youth Fund which sends disadvantaged youth to summer camps, summer school and specialty camps.
Hope to see you on the Tour!
