With the City Schools of Decatur new 3-4-5 Academy on Talley Street and the Avondale Transit Oriented Development on Sams Street, the southeast portion of the City of Decatur is entering a transformative period.
The community is invited to attend the first public meeting for a Transportation Improvement Study. This is a joint project between the City of Decatur and the City Schools of Decatur to study the transportation network in the southeast area of Decatur to identify improvements to accommodate new developments and future changes. To begin the study, we want to hear from you!

Where: City of Decatur Public Works Building, 2635 Talley Street
The study includes identifying improvements to address all modes of travel for: pedestrians, bicyclists, and vehicles that navigate through and around the corridor. This public meeting is an opportunity for you to share your concerns and suggestions in an open house format. Come by at your convenience. There is no formal presentation.
In addition to this initial public meeting, an online survey will be available for the public May 16-May 31. We look forward to hearing from you.
