Here are a few things going on right now that will get you ready for Halloween next week…
*5th annual Commissioner’s Cauldron- Residents and businesses are invited to decorate for Halloween and submit a photo to specialevents@decaturga.com by noon on Monday, October 27th. Please include your name and address. Judges will make their decision Monday evening and the winners will be posted on the City of Decatur website, the Downtown Decatur Facebook page, and on www.thedecaturminute.com blog. Winners will receive a special yard sign to display throughout the week and one stand-out location will win the coveted Commissioner’s Cauldron trophy to keep on display for the entire year.
*Salon Red Kids Halloween Costume Contest-Here is what they say: “Don’t forget about wearing your Halloween costume when you come to visit us this month. You could win a $25 gift card & a FREE haircut if you win this months costume contest at either location! ”
*This Sunday is the Homegrown Halloween Haints & Saints Parade in downtown Decatur. Parade begins at 4pm, more details here
