Just to put a bug in your ear, there are a couple of really cool things happening around Decatur this pre-Halloween weekend. For starters, Big Tex Decatur has their second annual fall block party going on this Saturday and its sure to be a fine time. Free live music, UGA vs FL on the big screens, a wing eating contest, and prizes for the best costume…you don’t want to miss it.
Decatur Market and Gallery will be holding a “Back to the 80’s” anniversary party the same day with complimentary hors d’oeuvres, wine, and an outdoor market.
On Sunday you don’t want to miss the 2nd annual Homegrown Halloween Parade through downtown- floats, hearses, marching bands, and costumes galore! Line up starts at 3:00pm in the Decatur Post Office Parking lot and steps off at 4:00pm heading down Ponce de Leon Ave towards the Square.
