For anyone who is interested in understanding more about farm to school and how they can implement farm to school activities in their schools and communities, come join us at the first Farm to School Symposium hosted by the Wylde Center’s Decatur Farm to School! All those interested are invited to attend (teachers, nutrition directors, educators, parents, businesses, farmers, community members, etc.) to learn all things farm to school, share ideas and success stories, and network with others to enhance future collaborations. Symposium will be held at the Oakhurst Church, in Decatur, GA, on August 25th, from 9am-4pm. It is a one day event full of learning experiences, inspirational talks, and opportunities to network. It ends with a lovely mixer at the Wylde Center, complete with delicious food, wonderful music, and raffle prizes. Please note that this event is open to all school districts and communities. Limited number of teacher scholarships are available. Opportunities for hosting a vendor table and event sponsorships are also available for any interested businesses and organizations. Registration is $25 (includes lunch). To register or for more information, visit us at www.oakhurstgarden.org. Questions? Contact Joey Zeigler at realfood888@gmail.com.
