It’s obviously not an official holiday weekend, but it almost feels that way with all the events going on during the next few days in our city. Here’s the breakdown of events:
Thursday
- Terrific Thursdays: It’s the first Thursday in December, so that means Santa will be walking around and stopping by the shops.
- Tree Lighting: Little Shop of Stories will have a tree lighting at 7 p.m.
- After-hours shopping at Wiggle.
- The Seen Gallery. Pete the Cat artist, James Dean, and Love at the Pub author, Mary Jane Mahan, will be on hand to talk about their work, and sign books and prints.
Friday
- Fresche Holiday Party, 7-9 p.m. in Oakhurst. Discounts on all retail items and gift card purchases, chances to win great prizes, free gift wrap and good bags to the first 50 guests.
- The Decatur Tour of Homes begins tonight, 5:30-9:30 p.m.
- Stop by the annual Decatur Holiday Marketplace and Cafe at Clairemont Elementary, 5:30-9:30 p.m.
- Making Spirits Bright at Dancing Goats Coffee Bar, 4-6 p.m. Lynne Sawicki (owner/chef of Sawicki’s market) will present her favorite dessert ideas – with a healthy twist – that pair well with Batdorf & Bronson’s Holiday Blend coffee.
Saturday
- The second and last night of Decatur Tour of Homes, 5:30-9:30 p.m.
- The Decatur Holiday Marketplace and Cafe is open all day from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Sunday
