Created by the Georgia Municipal Association in 2000, Georgia Cities Week gives cities throughout the state an opportunity to share with their citizens information about the valuable services cities provide to residents. This year Georgia Cities Week is from Sunday, April 19 to Saturday, April 25 and the theme is “A Story to Tell.”
Each city designs its own programs to highlight city services and activities. Decatur’s annual Kids Activity Book is published in the April Focus every year to celebrate the week. Although the book is designed primarily for elementary children, it covers a lot of information about the city that adults can enjoy too.
If you would like additional copies or have suggestions for next year’s Kids Activity Book, please call Linda Harris, 404-371-8386, or email linda.harris@decaturga.com. You can also download a copy of the activity book from the city’s website.
