Beginning July 19 at 9 p.m., GDOT will be working on a storm sewer improvement project in the sidewalk and eastbound lane of W. College Ave. between Olympic Pl. and Mead Rd. The construction will alleviate flooding on the road and sidewalk by adding three new inlets. All work should be completed in the early morning of July 21, weather permitting. There will be a detour for the eastbound traffic only. Traffic will be routed around via Park Place, East Lake Rd, Paden Circle, W. Howard Ave. and back onto College Ave. at the Atlanta Ave. railroad crossing (see map – click to enlarge).
