Sapori di Napoli’s opening couldn’t been timed more perfectly – just a few days before the Decatur Book Festival. I’m no pizza expert, but I think Sapori’s is delicious and will be a huge treat for this weekend’s festival goers. The restaurant is located on Church Street just south of the MARTA plaza. The menu isn’t up on line yet, but I snatched a to go menu on the way out. There are twelve pizzas including five without sauce. We ordered the Salsiccia e Funghi pizza (pictured above) and Insalata Mista Sapori (pictured below). Next time I visit I want to try the hand-made pasta (what a treat!) and at least one of the desserts: Tiramisu, Crostata con Nutella e Cream, and Torta di Nonna Rosa.
Let us know if you stop by and try out Sapori di Napoli and have fun at the Book Festival!
Thanks for the review. Can’t wait to try it!
Went there for dinner tonight! It was very busy and the wait was longer than expected, but it wasn’t anything more than you’d get at other Decatur spots on a Friday night. Good pizza and very thoughtful service. The brick oven is right out in the open, and parents were watching the pizza being made with children on their hips. The chefs gave all the kids balls of pizza dough, which made for some (messy) fun. We’ll definitely go back!
Just ate there this evening. We had the #9 pizza with arugula and speck – DELICIOUS. Our friends had the #1 margarita pizza, and there wasn’t a bite left on the plate. All the people working there were super friendly, the service was great, and again, the pizza was fabulous. No beer or wine yet, but soon according to our server. It was a great way to end the day after the book festival.
