Pogo Pictures is a film production firm located next Parker’s on Ponce. You might remember seeing the owner/director of photography, Steve Colby, in our Creative Business video. Well, Pogo Pictures director Ben Callner created this “First Date” spot for Verizon that has been shortlisted for the 2011 AICP (that’s the Association of Independent Commercial Producers for us non-industry types) Show at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. And “First Date” has been shortlisted for the Young Director Award 2011 at the Cannes Film Festival. Pretty swanky! Congratulations to Ben and the rest of the Pogo Pictures crew!
First Date is great, and I think his Doritos Robbers is just as good. Ben is obviously very talented. Congrats!!
