Kismet, a jewelry store next to Taste on Church Street, just opened today. I popped in to meet the owners, Tony and Sylvia Gezgin, and tried a few pieces on. The scorpion and elephant (its ears and tusk move!) rings caught my eye.
And I had to take a photo of this giant owl ring:
Tony and Sylvia are incredibly friendly. Stop by and welcome them to the neighborhood. If you stop in soon, you might be able to snag a piece of Turkish Delight – they have two open boxes on the counter for visitors – yum!

I have done business recently with this business and I would advise anyone who is contemplating it to check their rating with the Better Business Bureau. If you then decide to continue, make sure you document your transactions with them explicitly–don’t leave any room for debate if problems arise. Be a better consumer than I was which has cost me time, money and considerable anguish.
Lucretia, I’m sorry to hear that you did not have a good experience at one of the Decatur’s shops. If you would like to discuss this issue in more detail, please email me at Catherine dot Lee at DecaturGA dot com.
