Come join us for the 2010 Earth Day Festival Parade this Sunday, April 18th. Line-up starts at noon in Harmony Park, and the parade will start moving at 12:30pm. Sorry, but there are no gas-powered vehicles allowed in this event. If you want to participate, decorate your wagon or bike, skate, or walk. The theme is “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle,” so we hope to see you use recyclable materials in your decorations in fun and creative ways. If you just want to watch, you can wave to Mayor Bill Floyd and City Commissioner Patti Garrett as they cruise down Oakview Road in our electric mini-firetruck, and get a look at the City of Decatur’s brand new electric vehicle.
