Tomorrow, March 3rd, the City will conduct its monthly test for the Outdoor Tornado Warning Siren system at 5:00 p.m.
The test will last approximately a minute. If you are indoors at 5:00 p.m. you may not hear the sirens as they are alarms sounded to alert people who are outdoors that a tornado may be imminent. They are not generally designed to be heard within a home or other building. However, we know that due to the topography of the City and the location of the sirens some of you will hear them while indoors. If you have any questions or comments, please contact Assistant City Manager of Emergency Services Tony Parker at 404-370-4102.
The next test will be Wednesday, April 7th at 5:00 p.m.
