I was at Fire Station # 1 this morning and heard the chatter and giggling of little children. Captain Meyers was showing a class from Peachtree Academy in Avondale Estates a Fire Engine after their tour of the station. They were so cute, I couldn’t resist taking their photo. This is just one of the many activities that our wonderful firefighters do when they are not putting out fires, answering emergency medical calls and keeping the City of Decatur safe. Pictured are Captain Meyers and Francisco Albizu with the class and their teachers.
My favorite part of this photo is the girl in front who has evidently been placed or placed herself in charge and is telling the kids in back of her to shape up or ship out! There’s one in every preK class!
I was amazed at how fast they took “picture formation”. I simply asked if I could take their photo, and within 30 seconds they were ready! Cute, cute, cute!
