We’re gearing up for a busy weekend in Decatur. There’s the Beach Party this Friday (5 p.m. to midnight) and then Father’s Day is this Sunday (more local details are coming in a future post). Decatur CD and Greene’s Fine Foods are helping us get ready for this festive weekend by hosting their own in-store events tonight.
The Meat Puppets are performing tonight at Decatur CD, 6:30 p.m. Twains is providing a keg of Heaven for Climate
Golden Ale for the adults and the band is giving away signed merch for anyone who buys their CD and/or a ticket to their concert at The Earl. The evening will benefit PAWS Atlanta so bring your pup and some cash for a donation at the door.
Stop by Green’s Fine Foods between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. for a book signing event by Augusta, GA author Tripp Bowden. His book, Freddie and Me, is the story of Augusta’s longtime caddy master Freddie Bennett and the life lessons he taught the author. Bowden will be offering first edition hard back versions of the book, which makes for a great Father’s Day gift – especially with some Greene’s fudge and candy.
